Bryan Georgiady


Mr. Georgiady received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago in 2001. He later attended the Syracuse University College of Law, receiving a J.D. in 2009. Mr. Georgiady was an executive board member of the Syracuse Law Review, where his law review note was published and was later cited by a U.S. circuit court of appeals. He was also a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and was highly active on competitive moot court teams.

Prior to joining Guercio & Guercio, Mr. Georgiady accrued over 10 years of specialized experience representing school districts and other municipal entities.

Mr. Georgiady spent several years working for a distinguished trial defense firm, in which he aggressively defended school district clients against lawsuits and built an impressive record securing dismissals in state & federal courts and the Division of Human Rights. Also experienced on the appellate level, he has briefed the New York Court of Appeals on multiple occasions, including a successful motion for leave to appeal, and has twice authored memoranda to the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Georgiady also has several years of general counsel and labor & employment law experience, also focusing on school district clients. He has counseled school districts on human resources issues, conducted outside investigations into student and employee misconduct, led labor negotiations with employee unions, and prosecuted employee disciplinary hearings.
