Partner Gary L. Steffanetta and Associate Ashley C. Pope presented at the New York State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program on Social Media and the Workplace: Labor & Employment Legal Issues on November 14, 2014 in New York City. Mr. Steffanetta and Ms. Pope spoke to attorneys and practitioners on the legal ethical implications of social networking by attorneys and clients, including issues such as: confidentiality; inadvertent discovery of privileged material; metadata; communications with adverse parties, jurors, and judges; and the use of LinkedIn and limitations to attorney advertising. Also presenting on the legal ethics panel was Seth Greenberg, a member of the Board of Education of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District and a Partner-Shareholder of Greenberg Burzichelli Greenberg P.C.
