Ms. Reynolds (née Oroma Mpi) is a 2007 graduate of Cardozo-Yeshiva Law and a 2004 graduate of Yale University. Prior to joining the firm in May 2015, Ms. Reynolds worked as an attorney in the Special Education Unit of the New York City Department of Education (DOE). There, she represented the DOE in settlement negotiations and impartial hearings. Before joining the DOE in 2013, Ms. Reynolds was a Senior Attorney at Legal Services NYC-Bronx, where she represented students with special needs in IEP meetings, impartial hearings, suspension hearings, appeals to the Commissioner and State Review Officer of the New York State Education Department, and in federal court. In 2012, Ms. Reynolds successfully argued a Motion for Summary Judgment before the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff of the Southern District in B.R. ex. rel. K.O. v. New York City Dept. of Educ. From September 2009 through June 2011, Ms. Reynolds served as chairperson of Y-Apply, a volunteer group of Yale alumni devoted to recruitment through college application workshops for high school students and their parents.
