About The Firm

Guercio & Guercio, LLP is a leading education, labor and municipal law firm based in Farmingdale, New York. The firm opened in 1984, in its current form, with three attorneys. Since then, we have grown at a deliberate and steady pace to our current size of 32 lawyers. Our attorneys have over 300 years of combined experience in education, labor and municipal law, and are active members and leaders in professional associations. The firm has also invested human and financial resources to recruit and retain the brightest graduates of respected law schools. The new attorneys who have joined us have been attracted by the dynamic nature of our practice, the collegiality of our office atmosphere and the professional opportunities offered by the firm. We believe that by investing in our lawyers' growth and development, we ensure both their commitment to the firm and our promise to deliver expert legal counsel to our clients with speed, reliability, integrity and personal attention.

On January 1, 2010, the firm opened its Capital District office at 24 Century Hill Drive – Suite 101, Latham, New York, 12110 – headquarters of the New York State School Boards Association.  Our expansion to the Capital region allows us to offer the same high quality legal services statewide that have been the hallmark of our practice on Long Island.  Our presence in the Capital District also puts us at the epicenter of state government, facilitating immediate access to the State and Federal Courts, the Executive, the State legislature, and administrative agencies, (State Education Department, Office of the State Comptroller, Attorney General, Public Employment Relations Board, and Division of Human Rights, among others), whose work directly impacts our clients.
